Kimberly Kay "Kim" Kennedy, 22, Route 2, Berryton, died Monday March 19. 1984, at a Topeka Hospital where she was admitted earlier in the day. An autopsy was scheduled for today to determine the cause of death.
She was born December 21, 1961, in Topeka the daughter of Gailand D. and Marcia K Humphrey Kennedy. She spent her life in the Berryton community. She was graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1980 and attended Cloud County Community College from 1980 to 1981. She was attending Washburn University.
She had been a checker at Falley's Food For Less, 29th and California, the past five years.
Survivors include her parents, Gailand and Marcia Kennedy, at home; a brother, Garry Kennedy, Edwardsville; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Kennedy, Overbrook, adn Percy Humphrey, Berryton.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tibbits-Griffin Highland Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 89th and Ratner Road. Miss Kennedy will lie in state at the funeral chapel after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Intensive Care Unit at Stormont-Vail Hospital, 1500 W. 10th, 66604.
